How long does it take to have sex after appendixe surgery?

It's been a month that I had my appendixe surgery. I was in the hospital for three days. On my fourth day i was feeling better. I had sex two weeks ago. and people been telling me that my cut's will open again? please can someone explain how long i need to wait to have sex? Thank You.
